It's been a while .........

Hello everyone. I haven't been here for a while so I thought I'd pay a visit to remedy that. Have not had the best of times this last few months and it was easier just to be on Facebook and watch the virtual world go by, lol.
I'm still making dolls, still working full time and still dreaming of a house by the sea.
I'm having a giveaway on Facebook for reaching 200+ likes of my page. I've had a few orders since I started the page and its a lot less stressful than eBay! I have met some lovely people through my doll making and I'd like to thank everyone that has bought a doll from me, it means a lot.
The link is below, free to enter, just think of a name and post it on the page, feel free to share and post on your own pages and websites
The raggedy was made from a Sweet Meadows Farm pattern and is as about 12" high. I'll leave the comp open until next Saturday 16th March :0)

Back to basics

I've finally motivated myself and finished off most of my dolls, bunnies and Ellies. I listed a few on Ebay and 2 on Etsy. Will see what happens. I don't know what's been wrong these last few months. I had no enthusiasm for crafts and rarely visited my sewing room. Hoping that with the imminent change of season that I will shake off the apathy and get back to doing the things I love.
On a separate note I just got back from a week in Cornwall. Some of you may already know that my Mum lives there. We stayed in a caravan in a place called Praa Sands. It was truly beautiful. We were 300 yards from the sea and could hear it when we went to sleep at night. I got up very early on a couple of mornings and went for a walk on the beach, it was amazing. I'd love to live in Cornwall one day so am setting my sights on achieving that objective within the next couple of years. It was great to see my Mum too and we had a lot of days out and saw places she hadn't visited, despite her having lived there for 13 years !
Will be back soon with new Autumn and Halloween goodies

BeTTer LaTE tHaN nEvER !

I have got so many projects on the go that I needed to actually finish some of them off whilst I could still get into my sewing room, lol. I made a big effort and I've now got a raggedy kindergarten with only 4 left to complete, yay. Big question is, what do I do with them all? Etsy? Ebay? Sell to stores or open a selling blog? Hopefully It'll take less time to decide than it did to actually finish them, ha ha.
Here is a picture of Ellie, made from a Vintage Polka Dot pattern. Just needs her shoes painted (but you can't see that as I only photographed the top bit :-)

Hope you like her as much as I do, she'll be hard to part with but I need to get my sewing room back, lol. More photos to follow soon x

PoStCarDs fRom tHe eDgE

Here I am again after a gap of many months. I vowed not to leave it so long between posts and, before I knew it, time had slipped away again and it's June already. Not that you would know that if you were in England today, as it is raining and chilly. Great shame as the Queen's Diamond Jubilee river pageant was today and there were thousands of bedraggled and soaking wet spectators lining the route. I know this not because I was there but because it was on the TV news tonight, lol. I have taken advantage of this 4 day break to try to make some dolls and finish projects off. I made 3 dolls today and they are drying out from the tea staining process before I give them hair, faces and clothing. I didn't use my usual favourite designer this time. Thought I would try something different and will hopefully put some photos on here. Don't hold your breaths though as my track record this year isn't impressive !!
